Email: francesco@piccininknives.com
2. Products
The products sold on the website are handcrafted knives and cutting tools. Ready-to-ship products are available immediately, while custom orders are fulfilled according to the waiting list communicated in the product specifications. Further information regarding delivery times and the status of custom orders will be communicated to the customer via e-mail.
Each product is accompanied by comprehensive documentation on the materials used and technical specifications. A maintenance and care manual is also provided. The products are properly protected with a case and box to ensure safe storage and transport.
3. Minimum Age
Purchases are allowed only for adult users (18 years and older). By placing an order, the user declares, under their own responsibility, that they are of legal age. Francesco Piccinin disclaims any liability for false or misleading statements.
4. Prices
Prices on the site are expressed in Euro and include VAT and taxes required by applicable Italian law. Prices include any fees related to offered payment methods (e.g., PayPal, credit/debit card via Stripe). No additional charges apply to users for the chosen payment method.
Shipping costs are additional and vary based on the destination.
For shipments to non-EU countries, the user must account for potential import taxes and customs duties applicable in their country. These import costs are entirely the responsibility of the user and cannot be estimated in advance by the seller.
Prices may be changed by the owner at any time and without notice.
Prices are binding only at the moment of order confirmation by the seller.
The user acknowledges that the final price to be paid is the one stated in the order confirmation email.
5. Payment Methods
Payments on the website can be made via:
· Credit/debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Klarna (via Stripe)
· PayPal
If the buyer wishes to pay using other payment methods (e.g., bank transfer or payment link), they are encouraged to contact the seller via email at francesco@piccininknives.com. The seller reserves the right to request full or partial advance payment before issuing the invoice and shipping the product.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Shipments are carried out via UPS within 48 hours of order confirmation. Estimated costs and delivery times are:
· Italy: €15, delivery in 2–4 working days
· European Union: €25, delivery in 3–7 working days
· Outside the EU: €100, delivery in 7–15 working days (may vary due to customs)
Before placing an order, non-EU customers are strongly encouraged to contact the seller at francesco@piccininknives.com to verify whether shipping to their country is feasible and to check for potential restrictions or customs issues. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts all responsibility for complying with the import laws and customs regulations of their country. This includes any risks associated with customs controls, delays, or the seizure of goods that may be restricted, banned, or considered illegal in the destination country. The seller is not liable for any issues arising from the importation of such items.
Delivery times are binding only if explicitly agreed as such in the order confirmation. If delivery is delayed due to causes outside the seller’s control, the agreed delivery date will automatically be extended by a reasonable period necessary to overcome the obstacle. If such causes persist for more than three months, either party may terminate the contract. If the causes render delivery permanently impossible, both parties may withdraw from the contract.
Risk of loss or damage to the products is transferred to the buyer as soon as the shipment is handed over to the carrier or leaves Francesco Piccinin’s warehouse for dispatch. Nevertheless, the seller takes all necessary precautions to ensure that the product is safely packaged and shipped, aiming to guarantee its integrity until delivery.
7. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Legislative Decree No. 206 of September 6, 2005 ("Consumer Code"), as amended by Legislative Decree No. 21 of February 21, 2014, the user may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing any reason. However, this right cannot be exercised for custom-made or clearly personalized goods in accordance to art. 59, comma 1, lett. c) of the Consumer Code.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the user must send written notice within the 14-day period to francesco@piccininknives.com and return the product intact and in its original packaging within 14 days from exercising the right. A refund will be issued within 14 days from the actual return of the product using the same payment method used for the original purchase, after verifying the condition of the product. If the consumer is responsible for any damage or missing parts, the refund may be reduced or withheld proportionately.
In accordance with Article 57 of the Consumer Code, if the product is delivered damaged and the consumer reports and documents the damage at the time of delivery, they are entitled to a refund or replacement, and return shipping costs will be borne by the seller. Conversely, if the product is returned damaged due to inadequate packaging by the customer, the customer is responsible for the damage. In that case, the refund may be reduced or denied, and return shipping costs remain the customer's responsibility.
See the Return Policy for further details.
8. Warranty and Liability
The seller guarantees that the products under contract are free of defects that would invalidate or reduce their value or suitability for the intended use at the time of delivery. If delivery obligations or quality specifications are not met, the seller has the right to remedy the defect within a reasonable time, at their discretion, through replacement or repair.
As the products are handmade and unique, minor variations from illustrations and published specifications may occur.
The warranty period is 24 months starting from the date of product acceptance. In case of replacement or repair, the warranty for the repaired or replaced parts starts again from the renewed acceptance date.
The warranty and liability exclude any personal or material damage resulting from one or more of the following causes:
· improper use of the products;
· incorrect assembly, commissioning, use, or maintenance;
· failure to comply with instructions in the user manual regarding transport, storage, assembly, use, and maintenance;
· insufficient monitoring of wear-prone tools;
· unauthorized or improper repairs or modifications;
· external causes or force majeure.
In addition, the user agrees to use the products in compliance with applicable laws and good practices.
The seller is not liable for damage, accidents, or consequences resulting from improper, unsuitable, or non-compliant use of the products.
9. Privacy
Personal data provided by the user will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The contract is governed by Italian law and, where applicable, by European Union consumer protection legislation. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Treviso, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
