Northern - "Best Hunter" KMG award Blade Show Atlanta 2026

This knife is a northern style utility designed for hunting and outdoor activities. It won the “Best Hunter” award of the Knifemakers’ Guild (KMG) at Blade Show Atlanta 2026.

The blade is stainless damascus by Damasteel in the newly released “Jörmungandr” pattern (61 HRC with cryogenic treatment), celebrating the World Serpent of the Norse mythology. The blade is flat ground, mirror polished and deeply etched to have topography and contrast between the two alloys. The recurve bolster is 416 stainless steel with a very fine satin finish and mirror polished chamfers. The handle is heirloom fit stabilized maple burl with a TruOil glass finish.

The sheath is made of 3.5 mm (9-10 oz) thick hand-stitched vegetable tanned leather with tooling aimed to resemble the Serpent’s skin scales. A goat skin internal liner ensures retention and avoids scratches on the knife.
